Brett McCoy, LEED AP

Brett McCoy, Chief Operations Officer/General Manager,  joined PHK following years working as a Project Manager at Skanska USA, a world-class provider of construction services across the United States. McCoy’s broad range of experience has included projects such as the Portland State University School of Business Administration addition & renovation; University of Portland’s Recreation & Wellness Center; the PSU Academic & Student Recreation Center; Port of Tillamook industrial/retail & aeronautical projects; Jesuit High School’s new science building; and the FedEx Troutdale Hub Expansion.

McCoy grew up here in Oregon, and began his career early with his own contracting firm while he was studying for his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Management at Oregon State University. While at OSU, McCoy also served as President of the fraternal organization to which he belonged.

As ongoing evidence of his commitment to ethics and professionalism, McCoy has achieved a Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) designation through the American Institute of Constructors. CPC is the highest level of certification in the AIC Constructor Certification Program, and is indicative of the experience and skills needed to manage the complex construction process efficiently and effectively.  In addition, McCoy carries an OSHA 30 certification, a supervisor-level program focusing on hazard recognition, abatement and prevention.

McCoy holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Portland State University, and is an accredited LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional).
