Kyle Teeter, CPA, CGMA
Kyle Teeter is the Chief Financial Officer of PHK. Teeter began his accounting career as an Audit Associate at KPMG, LLP, one of the “Big Four” accounting firms in the United States and one of the world’s leading professional services firms, where Teeter performed financial reviews and audits for US, international, governmental, and private entities.
After moving to Bellingham, Washington, Teeter joined the accounting team at the Whatcom County Library System, and was soon promoted to Director of Finance and Administration for the county library system in December 2008. Teeter also acted as an Interim Executive Director in early 2013. In his varied capacities, Teeter served as a member of the library system’s management team, guiding the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. He developed and monitored the library system budget, and managed the annual financial reporting process. Teeter also managed purchasing, accounting, administrative, materials distribution, and facilities management functions. Teeter’s experience includes working with local governments and community groups to finance, construct, and operate branch library facilities throughout Whatcom County.
Teeter grew up in the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Accounting, with a minor in Social Justice from the University of Portland. In joining PHK Development, Teeter has returned to his roots.
Teeter is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the Oregon and Washington State Boards of Accountancy, and is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accoutants. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs, and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. This global designation is indicative of the ability to combine financial expertise and business acumen to guide critical business decisions and drive sustainable success.
